Things to Do at Home When You’re Bored ❤ (Other Than Netflix or Hulu)

During this stressful and uncertain time it’s important to focus on the things you can control like your outlook and your mental well-being. By doing projects each day and feeling a sense of accomplishment when you finish them you can maintain a positive daily outlook. Here is a list of the things I’ve been doing to stay busy and positive.

  1. Go through your closet and donate things you don’t wear
  2. Mend or refashion your old clothes
  3. Do a puzzle or crossword
  4. Deep clean your kitchen or bathroom
  5. Read a novel
  6. Plan your dream vacation and budget it out
  7. Bake something
  8. Do a DIY project
  9. Plant some flowers
  10. Do a face mask
  11. Try yoga or meditation
  12. Video chat a friend or family member
  13. Start learning a new language
  14. Write a letter or postcard
  15. Spend time journaling

I’ve found that during this time, I have found a lot of comfort in creating things. By doing something each day, whether that be a craft of some sort or a baking project, I have been able to keep my mind from being overwhelmed with thoughts of uncertainty. Another thing in specific that has significantly helped me has been yoga. Taking the time to relax and take deep breaths has been so therapeutic for me.

Have you found anything that has helped you? Please share the things you have been doing to stay busy at home in the comments below! Thank you for reading my post. I hope you have a great day!

Until next time,

Sarah Elizabeth
