To celebrate restaurant week, I partnered with the Greater Green Bay Visitor’s Bureau to host an Instagram takeover and share about three different restaurants participating in this year’s event. Restaurant week started on July 15th and runs until July 22nd, 2021. There are 29 participating restaurants this year showcasing a variety of cuisine. We dined at Amphora Wine Bar, The Turn, and Chefusion to create this Green Bay Restaurant Week review.
Restaurant #1: Amphora Wine Bar
We had never dined here before but had visited their farmer’s market stand for charcuterie cups in the past. The interior of the restaurant is incredibly well designed. It’s gatsby with exposed brick! We arrived a little before 6 and had no troubles getting a table but reservations are recommended. Food was served timely and the service was good.
We ordered a meal to split from their restaurant week specials with three courses at $22. For an appetizer, we chose Garlic Rosemary Chips that were satisfyingly savory and crisp. For our entree, we chose Lemon Rosemary Chicken Skewers, served with tahini sauce and grilled flatbread. I loved the entree as the tahini sauce balanced the acidity and citrus from the chicken very well. We chose the Apple Ginger Spring Roll for dessert which tasted like apple pie filling in a crisp spring roll served with a side of vanilla ice cream. The spring roll was covered in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with caramel.

Restaurant #2: The Turn
Another restaurant we had never been to was The Turn. We made reservations ahead of time but it didn’t seem as though we needed them. The Turn is located at Titletown and offers interactive virtual golf, football, hockey, dodgeball, and more, which will be a hit, especially during the long winter months in Wisconsin. The atmosphere seemed lively and welcoming.
We ordered from their restaurant week specials receiving three courses for $22, splitting the meal at this stop as well. For the first course, we tried the Edamame Hummus, served with fried pita chips, cucumbers, and cubes of pickled beets. I enjoy hummus and thought the texture was nice and the sides to dip in it were nicely paired. For our second course, we ordered the Smoked Mushroom Chicken Flatbread. It had grilled chicken, confit wild mushrooms, smoked chipotle sauce, caramelized onions, and seasoned arugula. It was sweeter than we expected it to be with the chipotle sauce and the flatbread was perfectly toasted.
For dessert, we chose the blueberry cheesecake and it did not disappoint. The base was very creamy with light graham cracker crumbs and tart blueberry sauce to balance the sweetness. The starter and the dessert were smaller than I expected but the entree was bigger than I expected so overall good portions were provided.

Restaurant #3: Chefusion
We had dined at Chefusion previously and really enjoyed it in the past so we were excited to see the restaurant week specials. Chefusion has a very relaxed and romantic atmosphere and is a popular date night destination for couples in the area. I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time for Chefusion. I called three days before our reservation date. Chefusion offers complimentary valet parking with reservations and the service we received was excellent.
Starters
We ordered separate meals at $33 each for three courses. For the first course, Dillon ordered Lobster Bisque and I ordered the Peaches and Cream Bruschetta Salad. Dillon orders the Lobster Bisque anytime we visit and it’s one of his personal favorites. I really enjoyed my first course. The cream was sweet and the tops of the peaches were caramelized, served on toasted bread. The bruschetta was served with lemon-scented arugula and candied pecan dust. The dish was well planned and balanced.
Entrees
For Entrees, Dillon ordered the Prime Rib of Beef and I ordered the Beef Roulade. Dillon’s dish came with Yukon mashed potatoes and veggies on the side. He said his favorite was the mashed potatoes, which I can attest are delicious. My dish came with polenta and veggies on the side. I enjoyed the green beans, as in both of our dishes, they were wrapped with a carrot strand forming a little bundle. I enjoyed the polenta but was a little off-put by the center of the dish, the roulade. In the roulade, there were wild ramps, morel mushrooms, and chives but it seemed to give off a pungent smell that was overwhelming. The meat was cooked well and it was served with a brown gravy but I can’t say it’s something I would order again.
Dessert
For dessert, Dillon got the French Vanilla Creme Brulee which I enjoyed more than he did. The cream was smooth and the caramelized topping was perfection. I ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte that was peanut butter mousse and chocolate ganache on top of a triple chocolate decadence cake. It was rich and decadent and Dillon enjoyed my selection more.
