Microsoft Surface Book 2

I could not be happier with my laptop choice. I have had it for almost 4 years now and it’s still my favorite and most prized possession. When my first laptop died after 2 years, I was determined to do all the research and find one that would last and one that I would actually enjoy using. I considered getting a Mac but I was getting so annoyed with all of the updates on my iPhone that kept making my phone annoying to use and I definitely didn’t want that to happen with a computer. I actually was able to test out a Surface book before I bought one through the tech college I was attending and I fell in LOVE with it.

Google Pixel 3

After getting my new laptop and being so frustrated with my iPhone, I decided to start my hunt for a new phone. I wanted to try a different phone but knew I didn’t like most Androids because I didn’t like the display of the apps (it looks a little childish). So I went into a store to check out some different phones.

After checking out a bunch of phones and testing the cameras on them, I found the Google Pixel 3. The camera was honestly the selling point for me. I really wanted my phone to double as a camera while I was traveling. I have been very impressed with the night sight feature on the camera. Set up for my new phone was also insanely easy. I literally just connected my new phone to my old phone with a cord and it transferred my data onto the new phone. IT WAS LIKE MAGIC. I also love that all my photos automatically upload to google photos. Say goodbye to “no storage available” notifications!

Sony a6000 Camera

I bought my camera in 2021 and love the quality of the content I can create with it! I was looking for a camera that wasn’t difficult to use, was easy to travel with, and had good video quality. I found all of those things with my Sony a6000 camera. It’s simple, effective, and will allow me to level up my content and photography skills. This camera was also recommended to me by other bloggers and influencers. So far I’m loving it and it was well worth the investment.

ThredUp is an online secondhand clothing store that allows you to buy gently loved items with ease. The site allows you to filter by size, color, style, and material; making sustainable fashion a breeze. Thrifting and buying secondhand first is one of my favorite things to do.

ThredUp also provides clean-out kits which allow you to send unwanted clothes and get cash for items that sell. You also have the option to donate to one of the charities they work with, like Feeding America, once the items sell. I have always supported secondhand shopping and love that ThredUp makes it easier to find clothes your size while giving items a second life.

Travel Insurance Master

I will be completely honest with you: I hate all types of insurance. I don’t like giving away my money for safety from something that may never happen. But with all of the uncertainty during this pandemic and all of the cancellations by airlines, hotels, and cruises, I have learned the value of travel insurance. I lost $183 in plane tickets so far from the pandemic and won’t be losing any more thanks to Travel Insurance Master.

Airbnb

Disclosure: The link below is a referral link which means if you use it you get $35 off as a new Airbnb Member and I will get $10 off.

Airbnb has changed the way people travel. Instead of being at the mercy of hotel group pricing and tourist attractions, you can choose to have a unique experience by staying in the home of someone who lives at your destination or learning from someone who offers cultural experiences.

Airbnb offers places to stay and experiences all across the world. When looking for a place to stay you can choose between renting a room, an apartment, or a whole house, giving you options for every budget. Some experiences include wine-tastings, pasta making, farm-to-table meals, historical walking tours, foodie tours and so much more.

I love Airbnb because it provides a glimpse into what it’s like to live in another place. You can experience more of a culture when you’re not in a crowded hotel or at a tourist trap. Most of the time, you get to meet or talk to your host and they can be a great source of knowledge for the best places to eat, things to do, and sights to see!

Airbnb brings more human connections to travel. You connect more with the destination, the culture, and the people in each place. My favorite thing I’ve ever booked on Airbnb was a French Cooking Class in Paris! I love being able to give someone a cherished memory or experience rather than an object.
