2020 Resolutions

Setting New Year Resolutions is a tradition for me. I love being able to think of things I want to improve on and how I can achieve them throughout the year. The New Year is also a time of reflection. On every New Years Eve, I review my resolutions from the previous year and take some time to celebrate the things I accomplished. Then, I look at the goals I could’ve put more effort in to. Next, I consider what goals I didn’t achieve and decide if they should still be on my list for the new year.

Reflect on the Past Year

One thing in 2019 that I didn’t complete was: start a blog. This has actually been on my resolution list for about 4 years. It’s taken me four years just to start this blog. Every time I went to start I just gave myself excuses like: I didn’t have time, I don’t have anything to write about, or why would any one want to read my blog. But this year is different. I finally decided to go for it. Life is too short not do the things that make you feel alive.

Set Your Resolutions

This year I’ve set some pretty ambitious goals but I’m looking forward to the challenge. Here they are:

  1. Read One Book a Month
  2. Write One Blog Post a Week
  3. Waste Less & Reduce Plastic Waste
  4. Estudia Más Español (Study More Spanish)
  5. Find a Better Work Life Balance
  6. Be Mindful
  7. Write & Journal More
  8. Travel to Two New States and One New Country
  9. Hike More
  10. Grow my Savings Account

Each one of these goals will help me to live the thoughtful, sustainable life that I crave. My goals also help me to achieve small steps on the way to my 10 year goals. These resolutions will help to guide me through the year with a clear vision for my future and what I’m working towards. So cheers to the new year! May this inspire and motivate you to work towards the life you want to live.
